Hi Everyone, and Happy November!
Recently, a small group of students and I got
an opportunity to perform at Ayre Manor, the Senior’s residence in Sooke. The
students, ranging in ages from 6 to 15, played and sang for about an hour to a
wonderful group of people .
I think we enjoyed it as much as they did, and
it certainly reminded me of how fast this whole parenting thing goes. They grow
up, and we all get older, and maybe wiser, about appreciating the good things
in life, like Music, Cookies and Good Company!
I encourage you to sign up for our next
performance there on Friday, Nov 21 10:30-11:30am. It is a
pro-D day, so perfect for a morning’s outing. Please email Leanna (leannamadill@gmail.com) to let her
know if your child can attend.
On another note, don’t be surprised when your
child starts coming home in the next week with Christmas Music. It may be two
months off yet, but musicians always have to learn their songs early, so they
are ready to perform once December hits.
We have been invited to participate/perform in
the Sooke Christmas Market, at the Community Hall, on Dec. 6th/7th,
so we’ll be putting some fun stuff together for that too!
